What is Phishing?
Phishing is a form of fraud in which the attacker tries to steal your personal information such as your login credentials or account information typically by email.
The attacker, in the email, falsely claims to be from an established organisation and attempts to scam the user to surrender his/her private information that will be used for an identity theft.

- Fraudsters set up a fake page similar to that of a popular site; such as a look-alike of the Naukrigulf.com
- They send fraud emails to the users of that site with the intention of somehow stealing the user’s credentials. For instance, a phishing email may contain the Naukrigulf logo to support the claim that it represents Naukrigulf.com.
- Typically, the phishing email will contain links that direct the users to the login page of a spoof/fake/bogus website that looks similar to the actual Naukrigulf site
- These mails may also ask the users to reply with their Username and password in order to keep their account active. The reason could be - “the site is under maintenance”
- If the users login on the fake website or send their password via email, the fraudsters misuse the credentials for unlawful practices such as using the credits of the account, cheating the jobseekers etc.
